It’s been such a mild autumn and winter. For the first time this morning I felt the ground frozen hard under my feet. I’m not quite sure why but I suddenly realised that Yule is indeed around the corner.        A flock of fieldfares flew over the house and I shivered. Time to light the wood burner.

What does a healing witch do? I suspect there are many of us, each doing things slightly differently. I offer healing to others, to the earth, and to myself. It is all a work in progress.

Part of this work is to be aware of the seasons. The frozen ground means frozen water; I put out mealworms and fill up the birdbath. I make nourishing soup. And I learn from the wise beings around me, the cat and the dog, and curl up before the fire.
